En estas 10 obras mi trabajo consistió en tratar de lograr conservar lo más fresco y auténtico, la esencia de esa primera idea a través de todo el proceso del desarrollo de la obra. Aunque no siempre funciona la primera imagen, o casi nunca, el trabajo entonces consiste en generar otra y otra, y otra imagen hasta lograr una que simplemente reclame su acierto. En este proceso de buscar nuevas ideas, para mi ha sido importante abstraerme: recomenzar sin imágenes preconcebidas en la mente, para conservar la frescura del proyecto.

In these 10 constructions, my work consisted in trying to conserve the freshest and most authentic, the essence of that first idea, during the whole development of the building. Although the first image doesn’t always function, the work consists in generating one, then another, then another image, until it simply feels right. In this process of finding new ideas, it has always been important for me to abstract myself: to restart without preconceived images in mind, in order to preserve the freshness of the project.

Dos jóvenes arquitectos, Félix Sánchez Aguilar y Luis Sánchez-Renero Rangel demostraron su capacidad y destreza organizacional cuando fundaron su propia firma. Sánchez Arquitectos y Asociados comenzó a operar en 1976. A los pocos años, Gustavo López Padilla, Fernando Mota Fernández y Raúl González Martínez se hicieron socios del despacho y las metas del equipo se volvieron cada vez más emocionantes, apuntando hacia un constante progreso.

Two young architects, Félix Sánchez Aguilar y Luis Sánchez-Renero Rangel, showed their organizational knack and capacity when they founded their own firm. Sánchez Arquitectos y Asociados began operating in 1976. A few years later Gustavo López Padilla, Fernando Mota Fernández and Raúl González Martínez become business partners of the office, and the team goals become increasingly exciting, aimed towards a steady progress.
